ABOUT:

Nicole Canegata is a commercial, lifestyle, and fine art photographer with over eight years of photography experience. Currently based in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where she was born and raised, Nicole specializes in architectural, food, portraiture, and wedding photography. 

After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA, Nicole had the amazing opportunity to intern for and be published in Santa Barbara Magazine.  She is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), a non-profit photography association, and her fine art prints have been featured in several exhibitions in the USVI and California. 

Her first solo exhibit, "The Traveling Lense" was the catalyst that inspired her to quit her financial research job of 8 years and pursue photography as a full-time career. Nicole also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Duquesne University and is an alumna of the Institute for Shipboard's Education, Semester at Sea, study abroad program.

A traveler at heart, Nicole has visited 6 continents, 49 countries, and 186 cities across the globe, and is available for travel worldwide. She is an avid reader, and when not working on photography / art projects, she finds peace and tranquility on her yoga mat, or in nature, especially at the beach.
